Get to know Tony Zazza:

Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Tony Zazza grew up dreaming of being a professional baseball player or a San Diego Police officer. After graduating from Chula Vista High School in 1993, he left California and headed to Texas on a baseball scholarship. His first stop was Hill College in Hillsboro, TX. Then it was on to Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. After baseball, while working on his Criminal Justice Degree, Tony got hired to write for MTV and also took a job at the local radio station in Stephenville. After being the afternoon guy, the sales guy, the promotions director and wearing every other hat in the building, Tony asked for a 50 cent raise and the owner of the station told him “you aren't it, you're not that good on the radio."

Tony loves a good challenge and decided radio would be it. In 1993, Tony drove to Dallas and dropped off demo tapes to every station in town. On his birthday, June 25th, 1993 he was hired to do weekends and the rest is history. Tony worked his way up from weekends to overnights. Six months later it was on to nights and six months after that it was afternoons. Tony spent five and a half years in afternoon drive before moving to mornings where he was the host of his own show for 4 years.

Tony was named On-Air Personality of the Year by AWRT (American Women in Radio and Television) in 2007, and was nominated for On-Air Personality of the Year in 2004 by R&R (Radio and Records) and The RMA's (Radio Music Awards).

Tony loves being on the radio and is excited to be apart of one of the most historic radio stations in the country here at LITE FM.

Tony lives in Plano with his 5 animals (3 dogs- Mac, Ally & Cooper and 2 cats- Faith and Hill). He runs his own PR Firm and plays on the radio. He loves to stay busy and jokes “I feel like Ryan Seacrest with all the jobs, just minus the millions and the fame.”

He loves to play golf, entertain, yard work, swim and spend time with family and friends. Tony is a Wine Enthusiast and enjoys cooking.

Favorite Celeb- Bob Barker (I wanted to be his replacement)
