"Lite FM’s Christmas Music Rocks” Contest Rules"
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.
VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1) HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST:

a. The “Christmas Music Rocks” contest will begin on November 17th, 2008 at approximately 6:00 am Central Time (“CT”) and end on Thursday, December 4th, 2008 at approximately 6:00 pm CT (the “Contest Period”).

b. To participate, listen to KVIL each weekday (except for November 27 and November 28, 2008) during the Contest Period at 7:10 am CT for Gene and Julie to announce the Christmas Song of the Day. Then, listen to KVIL between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm CT for KVIL to play the designated Christmas Song of the Day. When the Christmas Song of the Day is played for the first time that day, the ninth (9th) caller to get through to the KVIL contest line at 214-787-1037 will a prize, subject to confirmation of eligibility. At the time of their call, winning callers will be required to provide their first and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, and date of birth. There will be no Christmas Song of the Day and no prizes awarded on November 27 and November 28, 2008.   

c. KVIL is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.

d. Listeners may call as often as they like to attempt to win, but a listener may win a prize only once during the Contest Period.

2) ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:

a. The contest is open to all KVIL (the “Station”) listeners who 18 years of age or older and who reside in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. Employees of KVIL, its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, their affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the DFW metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win. Subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

b. Listeners are eligible to win a KVIL contest only once every sixty (60) calendar days and a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six (6) months. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any contest.

 
 
 

c. Winners will be required to sign liability, publicity and participant release forms, and must present valid government issued photo identification in order to claim any prize. 

3) PRIZES:

a. Up to twelve (12) prizes will be awarded as follows:

 
  • Monday, November 17, 2008: One (1) 14K Diamond Ring. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Tuesday, November 18, 2008: One (1) 14K Lemon Citrine & Diamond Pendant. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Wednesday, November 19, 2008: One (1) 14K Majestic Ruby & Diamond Y Gold Ring. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Thursday, November 20, 2008: One (1) Citrine Garnet & Diamond Y. Gold Ring. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Friday, November 21, 2008: One (1) 14K Yellow Beryl & Diamond Y. Gold Earrings. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Monday, November 24, 2008: One (1) 14K Diamond Ring. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Tuesday, November 25, 2008: One (1) 14K Beryl & Diamond Y. Earrings. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Wednesday, November 26, 2008: One (1) 14K Diamond Ring. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Monday, December 1, 2008: One (1) Ruby & Diamond Y. Gold Ring. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Tuesday, December 2, 2008: One (1) 14K Diamond Ring. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Wednesday, December 3, 2008: One (1) 14k Citrine Garnet & Diamond Y. Gold Ring. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
  • Thursday, December 4, 2008 : One (1) 14k Yellow Beryl & Diamond Y. Gold Earrings. Approximate Retail Value: $200.00
 
 

b. Winners must pick up their prize at the station located at 4131 N. Central Expressway, Dallas, TX, 75204. Winners will forfeit any prize not claimed by January 31st, 2009. In the event that a prize is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize.

 

c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the items listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities, or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply. Winners will be subject to the terms and conditions of the prize certificates as set forth by their provider(s).

 
 
 

4) SELECTION OF WINNERS:

a. Decisions of KVIL management with respect to the contest are final.

b. Twelve (12) winners will be selected as described in Section 1.b. of these official rules. 

c. Winners must listen but need not be present to win. Winners will be notified of their prize on air. 

d. The odds of winning depend in part on the number and order of calls received.

e. Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form by January 31, 2009 or winner forfeits prize and an alternate winner will NOT be selected. 

5) CONDITIONS:

a Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.

b. By participating in the contest, winners and their guests agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.

c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, KVIL, in its sole discretion, may require winners and their guests to sign a liability release agreeing to hold the KVIL, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents, and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

d. KVIL reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of KVIL, any prize related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, KVIL reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

e. KVIL is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prize.

f. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification.

 
 
 

g. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of all winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours (9am-5pm Monday-Friday, excluding holidays) at the main studio of KVIL, 4131 N. Central Expressway, Suite 1000, Dallas, TX, 75204.
